Justin returns home to attend his little sister, Molly’s, birthday party. He forgets to set the alarm and Brian’s apartment is burglarised. An irate Brian orders Justin to leave. Justin decides to move to New York City, using Brian’s credit card to pay for the flight and hotel. Brian follows Justin to New York to bring him home, and Michael, Ted and Emmett join him for a road trip. Brian confronts Justin at the hotel, where a melancholy Justin finally succeeds in seducing Brian. Once back in Pittsburgh, Brian arranges for Justin to live with Debbie.
Lindsay wishes to take a year off from work to stay home with Gus. Angry with Brian for not signing the adoption papers, Melanie refuses to have any contact with Brian or ask him for financial help. She consults Ted for financial advice and finally decides to use her inheritance to give Lindsay the time off.
After a drag queen/fortune teller informs Michael his true love is Brian, he decides not to move in with David. David replies that he wants a committed partner, not a casual boyfriend, and he cannot accept less.
