Outside of Babylon, Justin’s father, Craig, attacks Brian, beating him to the ground. Enraged, Craig gives his son an ultimatum to go home with him now or never return. Justin stays overnight at Brian's loft.
Jennifer unexpectedly shows up at Brian's office with Justin’s belongings and tells Brian he is now responsible for her son’s welfare. Later, Brian takes Justin home to confront his parents. Craig won’t allow Justin to return unless he agrees not to go to gay bars, and he must stop seeing Brian. But before Justin can reply, Brian interjects his opinion of Craig’s rules and leaves with Justin.
Meanwhile, Debbie collapses at the diner from exhaustion. Uncle Vic (recurring guest star JACK WETHERALL) blames himself for Debbie working extra shifts and getting a second mortgage to pay the mounting costs of his AIDS treatment.
Michael gets promoted to manager of the Big Q Mart but feels guilty because he must continue to pretend that he’s heterosexual. He offers to help Debbie financially.
